The American wine magazine ‘Wine Spectator’ once again recognizes the enological prestige of the Eguren family and wines from Viñedos y Bodegas Sierra Cantabria in a review of Spanish wines.
The Eguren family and its wines from Viñedos y Bodegas Sierra Cantabria have once again received international critical acclaim. According to the American magazine ‘Wine Spectator’, the ‘Colección Privada 2012’ from Viñedos Sierra Cantabria scored 93 points, making it one of the most highly regarded Riojas in the Spanish wines review, which was published in its latest edition.
‘Wine Spectator’ picks out the ‘Colección Privada 2012’ which scores 93 points, followed by ‘El Puntido 2011’ with 93 points, and ‘Finca El Bosque’ and ’San Vicente 2011’ with 92 points each.
These wines reflect the authenticity of the terroir which, together with the Rioja region’s microclimate, give the wine its unique character.
The Eguren family has been the owner of Viñedos y Bodegas Sierra Cantabria since 1870, and for generations has dedicated itself to cultivating vineyards and producing and ageing wines in the very special wine-making regions of La Rioja, Toro and Castilla La Mancha.
