Sierra Cantabria’s new vintages, Crianza and Protocolo, are already on the market, with a revamped image
Sierra Cantabria launches its new Sierra Cantabria Crianza 2015 vintage, featuring a new, more modern and elegant look.
A Tempranillo that evokes the identity of the Riojan Sonsierra region, fruity and aromatic, elegant and fresh, with a sweet, velvety tannin that proves complex and balanced.
Sierra Cantabria Crianza 2015 comes from vines hand-harvested in San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Labastida before being aged in barrels for 14 months.
Tasting Notes: Red-ruby of medium-high intensity, with slight orange tones on the edge of the glass. Intense aroma, with slight lactic, red fruit and spice tinges. The secondary aromas from its aging (vanilla, cocoa, roasted scents) are very much present. On the palate it is flavourful and well developed, with ripe tannins and a good acid-alcohol balance. Its fruity character subtly prevails over its toasted, roasted, cocoa and vanilla flavours, giving it complexity.
Dominio de Eguren renews the presentation of its wine from the Tierra de Castilla, Protocolo 2016, now with a more elegant and sophisticated look.
Proceeding from a careful selection of vineyards attentively overseen by our winemakers, and located in a special area of Castilla-La Mancha, at an elevation of 700 m. Ranging from 30 to 70 years old, and featuring controlled production.
Protocolo 2016 demonstrates that a daily wine can be authentic, pure, of good quality, and, at the same time, affordable.
Tasting Notes: Ruby red with violet iridescence. Fruity, with tinges of raspberry and red fruits, highly characteristic of the variety. Light notes of vanilla and spice. Medium body, good tannin-acidity balance, smooth, its aftertaste featuring pronounced notes of raspberry and vanilla, and slight tinges of wood.
