Vineyards
Property single vineyar, El Puntido. 25 Has., located in Páganos, Laguardia. Family owned, it was planted in 1975. Poor clay-limestone soils and sandstone subsoils. High planting density and low production per hectare. Organic fertilizer every two years. Vineyard cultivation respectful of the surroundings and the environment, with minimal intervention and perfect adaptation to the terroir.
Elaboration
Traditional elaboration; 100% destemmed grapes. Pre-fermentative maceration during 5 days at 6ºC with indigenous yeast selected from our own vineyards, with very light pump-overs and a light aeration. Malolactic fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels. Aged for 16 months in new Bordelaise barrels of French oak and 6 months in tank.
Tasting notes
Dark garnet red cherry colour. It shows a subtle nose with ripe and juicy fruits; fi ne milky notes, with noble woods, spices, cherries in liqueur, on a suggestive and evocative background. Structured in the mouth, with nerve and fi ne silkiness.
