Following closely behind these exceptional wines are \u2018<strong>Amancio 2017<\/strong>\u2019, from Vi\u00f1edos Sierra Cantabria, and \u2018<strong>Victorino 2018<\/strong>\u2019, from Teso La Monja, both with <strong>96 points<\/strong>. Last on the podium is \u2018<strong>San Vicente 2017<\/strong>\u2019<strong>,<\/strong> from Se\u00f1or\u00edo de San Vicente, with <strong>95 points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With <strong>94 points<\/strong>, there are two wines from the privileged Sonsierra <em>terroir<\/em>, \u2018<strong>El Puntido 2017<\/strong>\u2019, from Vi\u00f1edos de P\u00e1ganos, and \u2018<strong>Sierra Cantabria Private Collection 2018<\/strong>\u2019 from Vi\u00f1edos y Bodegas Sierra Cantabria , and form Teso La Monja \u2018<strong>Almirez 2019<\/strong>\u2019 also received <strong>94 points<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quite close in the ranking we find four wines: \u2018<strong>Calados del Puntido 2017<\/strong>\u2019 from Vi\u00f1edos de P\u00e1ganos, \u2018<strong>Sierra Cantabria Cuv\u00e9e 2017<\/strong>\u2019, \u2018<strong>Organza 2019<\/strong>\u2019<strong>,<\/strong> both references from Vi\u00f1edos Sierra Cantabria, and \u2018<strong>Sierra Cantabria Gran Reserva 2011<\/strong>\u2019 all received <strong>93 points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without being left behind with <strong>92 points<\/strong>: \u2018<strong>XF Sierra Cantabria 2020<\/strong>\u2019, \u2018<strong>Sierra Cantabria Reserva 2015<\/strong>\u2019, \u2018<strong>Sierra Cantabria Garnacha 2017<\/strong>\u2019 and \u2018<strong>Sierra Cantabria Crianza 2018<\/strong>\u2019 all from Sierra Cantabria winey in DOCa Rioja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>The purity of the <em>terroir<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Five generations of winegrowers, with roots in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, have woven a long history of mutual understanding between man and vine, to extract the virtues of a unique variety, the Tempranillo, applying all of the necessary efforts to capture its expressiveness in exceptional wines of the utmost purity and rooted to the <em>terroir<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marcos Eguren, at the head of the winegrowing side of the business, and Miguel Eguren, who manages as the President of the Group, are leading a project in search of wines that evoke the vineyard, with loads of versatility and personality. Guillermo, father of the current generation that now holds the reins of the winery group, considers himself above all to be a collector of vineyards.
