Sierra Cantabria launches to the market the new vintage of \u2018Sierra Cantabria Ros\u00e9 2020\u2019, a wine that evokes the character and identity of Rioja\u00b4s Sonsierra. Made from the manual harvest of grapes from our vineyards planted in San Vicente de la Sonsierra. A municipal term in La Rioja, where we are very well-known for having a collection of vineyards that have historically mixed different autochthonous varieties to achieve wines of great complexity in this prestigious wine region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Sierra Cantabria Rosado 2020\u2019 is essentially a \u2018coupage\u2019 from those vineyards: (10%) Tempranillo, (35%) Grenache and (55%) Viura. It is a Ros\u00e9 with exquisite freshness, intensity and fruitiness with aromas of red berries, pomegranate, blueberries and watermelon. On the palate, it is light, while remaining broad and with great volume. It is tasty, perfectly balanced and with a pleasant acidity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Five generations of winegrowers, with roots in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, have woven a long history of mutual understanding between man and vine, to extract the virtues of the unique varieties: Tempranillo, in D.O.Ca. Rioja and the Tinta de Toro in D.O. Toro applying all of the necessary efforts to capture the expressiveness in exceptional wines with the utmost purity, rooted to the terroir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marcos Eguren, at the head of the winegrowing side of the business, and Miguel Eguren, who manages as the President of the Group, are leading a project to search for wines that evoke the vineyard, with a lot of versatility and personality. Guillermo, father of the current generation that now holds the reins of the winery group, considers himself above all to be a collector of vineyards. And that is the message received by his sons, who have done an excellent job at looking after the vineyards, showing maximum respect for the fruit in the winery, with their philosophy for obtaining wines that have become modern day classics: wines that stand the test of time, that combine fruit, potency and structure with elegance, freshness and subtlety.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
