Following closely behind these exceptional wines are <strong>Amancio 2016<\/strong>, from Vi\u00f1edos Sierra Cantabria, and <strong>Victorino 2017<\/strong>, from Teso La Monja, both with 96 points. Last on the podium is <strong>San Vicente 2016,<\/strong> from Se\u00f1or\u00edo de San Vicente, with 95 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With 94 points, there are two wines from the privileged Sonsierra <em>terroir<\/em>, <strong>El Puntido 2017<\/strong>, from Vi\u00f1edos de P\u00e1ganos, and <strong>Sierra Cantabria Private Collection 2018<\/strong>. Quite close in the ranking, <strong>Sierra Cantabria Cuv\u00e9e 2016<\/strong> and <strong>Organza 2018,<\/strong> two references from Vi\u00f1edos Sierra Cantabria, received 93 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From Teso La Monja winery, <strong>Almirez 2018<\/strong> received 93 points and <strong>Rom\u00e1nico 2018<\/strong> 91 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without being left behind at 90 points are <strong>Murmur\u00f3n 2019<\/strong>, <strong>Sierra Cantabria Rosado 2019<\/strong>, and <strong>Sierra Cantabria Blanco 2019<\/strong>, all from Sierra Cantabria winey in DOCa Rioja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>The purity of the <em>terroir<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Five generations of winegrowers, with roots in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, have woven a long history of mutual understanding between man and vine, to extract the virtues of a unique variety, the Tempranillo, applying all of the necessary efforts to capture its expressiveness in exceptional wines of the utmost purity and rooted in the <em>terroir<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marcos Eguren, at the head of the winegrowing side of the business, and Miguel Eguren, who manages as the President of the Group, are leading a project to search for wines that evoke the vineyard, with a lot of versatility and personality. Guillermo, father of the current generation that now holds the reins of the winery group, considers himself above all to be a collector of vineyards.
