The new scores from the prestigious American publication rank Vi\u00f1edos y Bodegas Sierra Cantabria among the leading Toro and Rioja wines<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"ALABASTER-TESO_LA_MONJA-SIERRA_CANTABRIA\"<\/a>For yet another year the well-known US publication\u00a0Wine Spectator<\/em>\u00a0has assigned the Eguren family\u2019s wines top scores.\u00a0Alabaster 2014<\/strong>\u00a0leads the ranking, with\u00a096 points<\/strong>. This wine, featuring pre-phylloxera vines and produced by the Teso La Monja winery, located in the Zamora town of Valdefinjas, has received a new recognition not only for the winery, but for the Toro D.O. It is a magnificent, harmonious and bold wine, according to\u00a0Wine Spectator.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Finca-EL-BOSQUE-s\u00b7a-SIERRA_CANTABRIA\"<\/a>It is closely followed, with\u00a093 points,\u00a0<\/strong>by\u00a0Finca El Bosque 2014<\/strong>, from the Vi\u00f1edos Sierra Cantabria (DOCa Rioja), a wine from a single plot and de-stemmed by hand, one by one. Finca El Bosque is a 1.48-hectare vineyard located in the La Rioja locality of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, planted in 1973 with the Tempranillo variety and giving rise to a wine that is \u201cfull, and expressive and of a smooth complexity,\u201d according to\u00a0Marcos Eguren.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"ALMIREZ-s\u00b7a-TESO_LA_MONJA-SIERRA_CANTABRIA\"<\/a>With\u00a092 points<\/strong>\u00a0we find\u00a0Almirez 2015<\/strong>\u00a0(Toro D.O.), a strong yet balanced wine in a modern style, according to\u00a0Wine Spectator<\/em>, and\u00a0Sant Vicente 2013 (<\/strong>Rioja DOCa), featuring a unique and almost extinct variety: the Tempranillo Peludo.<\/p>\n

Several of our wines garnered scores of\u00a091 points<\/strong>, such as\u00a0Sierra Cantabria<\/strong>\u00a0Colecci\u00f3n Privada 2014<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Amancio 2013,\u00a0<\/strong>from our winery in Rioja, Vi\u00f1edos Sierra Cantabria. Right on their heels,\u00a0Sierra Cantabria Crianza 2013<\/strong>\u00a0received\u00a090 points<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Eguren family\u2019s wine-growing project in La Rioja and Toro aims to produce wines evoking the special character of the winery, defined by its versatility and pronounced identity.
